When the car in front of you had already passed the flood, just estimate the depth. Does your car can pass it? If not, It is better for you to take an alternative route. In order to prevent  engine damage because of too much water possessed. Safe limits that can be taken is half of the diameter of your car.

When driving in flooding area, do not hurry. Drive slowly because you can not see what lies under the flood.  Maybe there is a hole or rock that can damage your vehicle. And more importantly, Drive your car stability when passing it.

Brake Test
When you finally pass the flood, It is brake test time. Try in slowly speed and stepping on your brakes. If you do not stop, it means that your brakes damaged by flood waters. Drain patiently and slowly. The way is by pressing the brake pedal with your left leg while still maintaining speed with your right leg.
Do not Restart Machine
If your car was eventually broken down because of inundated by water with a depth that is high enough, do not try to start the engine. Possibility inside the engine block has inundated by water that can make worse damage.

The worst thing that could happen is you’re really trapped in a flooding area. If this happens, do not panic. Go out through the window and immediately look for a safer place. Contact the authorities to save you soon. So make sure that your cell phone can always be used. Communication is very important in this situation
